On Saturday evening, I met up with Catherine and her one year old son, Jacob. We've connected a few times together during Jacob's journey so far, and every time he's been the most joyous and curious soul imaginable. It took all of about 15 seconds for him to warm back up to me this time, and within a few minutes he was off and running (literally) all across Garry Point, in Steveston. He didn't want or need a hand, he was keen to take his steps and tumbles all on his own. Hard to believe he's barely a year fresh in this world! On a side note - I've got a light work schedule upcoming, so it looks like I may be able to get in some short travels on days off, but nothing is set in stone yet. If you don't hear from me, I'm probably off camping in freezing temperatures away from the interwebs again ;)
