Sometimes everything just comes together.
We had a little bit of a long night of driving ahead of us to make sure we left some heavier developing cloud near Yellowknife far behind us. It was the easiest thing in the world to fall into this beautiful rhythm of seeing our tall and skinny trees continually pass in a blur silhouetted against a bright orange and blue sky. Somewhere along the way, we pulled off to enjoy a few minutes of the sky over a still lake (the first image below), and we continued along our way.
Arriving where we did, in the time that we did, I think it would've been hard to ask for a more beautiful situation, and I also know that no words will be able to bring the feeling of it here.
