Last night as sunset was approaching, I recognized a few very tell tale signs of a potentially stunning evening under the aurora approaching, and very quickly rounded up our couple of guests at home here. We made a b-line for Vee Lake where upon immediately arriving, the sky exploded in curtains of green, a few visible purple edges, even some deep maroons way up there, and for hours - all night, we had a spectacular show with thanks to another solar storm.
And with the skies clearing up nicely here in Yellowknife this afternoon, it looks like we're in for another beautiful evening tonight!
