So what do you do when you're getting dressed at home, leaving in just a few moments to grab your guests for the night - already earlier than usual - when you notice all the telltale signs of a substorm about to breakup? 

I think you meet your guests in the driveway of their accommodation and tell them to just hang on, we're going to stay here for a few moments, and just look straight up past the street light 10 metres above our heads to watch an auroral corona rain down to you. I think.
And while the rest of the night at nearly -40° was gorgeous too, the most beautiful part was definitely under a streetlamp.
