Solar storms will be solar storms.
Through the night in northern Europe, they enjoyed perfect auroral conditions which brought the lights all way down to parts of the UK. As nightfall hit in North America, the field had retreated strongly back north, which didn't prevent us from seeing the lights altogether, but oh boy, the show we would have seen if the field hadn't of stayed so stubbornly north all night.
