We had exhausted all our options, and may as well have died trying too.
The two highways that run outside of Yellowknife went in each direction we didn't need to be. And the depressing reality of knowing clear skies are lingering north, and seeing them on the horizon, but without the means to get there is one of life's real cruelties to me. 
But some nights just go this way, and although we did get ourselves into some momentarily clear skies well outside of Yellowknife, the struggle, as they say, was real. Don't forget the hashtag.
