Everything we talked about last night seemed to be filled with appreciation.

We chased the sunset for about an hour outside of Yellowknife eventually pulling over under clear, twilight skies. Every few moments, the brightest white flashes would grab our attention in the side mirrors from an electrical storm back in the Yellowknife area. I kind of wish we could have stayed in the city for the storm, but you know how it goes - clear skies remain the most important part of this chase. And it was gorgeous. Just as the pastel sky we were chasing ahead of us was, the faint aurora to the east, to the west and right overhead, the milky way in with all of that, and of course, moonrise in the middle of the night.
