It almost started off feeling like a home coming of sorts. How long has it been since the moon wasn't in the night sky? Months? Because it sure felt that way. How long had it been since I've been able to shoot the aurora with a twilight sky? Months? (Yes, actually.)
When we arrived out on the lake still with twilight lingering low on the western horizon, stars were plentiful across the entire sky. And it was perfect. One of these days though, these 4am returns to the city must be stopped. But when the aurora really begins to dance at 2:30a, what are you supposed to do?
That's what.
