Last night we jumped the gun by about an hour, getting out ahead of a cloud bank closing in over Yellowknife later in the night. An extra half hour could've spared me a little anxiety with the approximately 4,377 tanker trucks slowly - really slowly - sometimes really, really slowly - navigating the Ingraham Trail to the diamond mines these days, but never the less, we were able to jump out of the car with no more than a minute to spare to the first of two beautiful break-ups before midnight.
