Numbingly painful, not majestic. 

On the drive out at quarter past nine, with the temperature already -40°, I used the word majestic in the feeling of this clear night with good activity up in the magnetic field just days from the absolute darkest of the year. A guest thought 'numbingly painful' was more appropriate.

When you're experiencing a 75°C difference in less than a week, I suppose that's a fair assessment to make.
