If you would tell me I could have half the night with really good conditions, and spend the other half the night under less favourable conditions, then the timing last night was perfect.
We arrived out to the sound of rushing water across the lake with the aurora already dancing subtly against the sunset. And although the last half of the night ended very, very quietly, to be there for moonrise and a slowly fading twilight sky with the aurora above us was about everything we could have hoped for.
